Asbury Park

For the past couple weeks, I've been working all day and into the wee hours of the morning as a production manager for the new play God's Ear. I've had very little time for anything else.

Tuesday, though, I had a little break. I didn't have to get to work until 6pm. (Of course, I didn't get home until 3am, but that's another story...) :)

Kevin had to run an errand down on the Jersey Shore and invited me along for the ride.

We went to Asbury Park, where we had lunch at a beautiful restaurant overlooking the ocean. We weren't sure it was open, but when we walked through the door, we were welcomed and, as we were the only guests, had our pick of seating.

Kevin was disappointed that breakfast wasn't on the menu and reluctantly ordered a burger. But then we thought to ask if they COULD make breakfast. They were happy to. YAY!

We then walked along the beach and took a couple photos for International Footwear Week.

Then, we found an easy way to get into the fenced off remains of Asbury Park, ignoring the signs forbidding us to enter.

We spent some time there taking photos. Our presence was noticed by a police officer, but we must have seemed harmless enough, as we were left alone.

It was a beautiful, fun day. And as much as I love the theater, it was a welcome break! :)

Were there muffled banging noises coming from the trunk?
